Mpix Meet-up Saturday (Day 3)

April 7th-11th I spent in Tulsa with some of the best photographers on the planet. (Part 2)

Saturday started out REALLY early! My first class of the day was a Rt. 66 Road Trip taught by Cort Anderson. We had to be in the parking lot ready to leave at  7:45 am! (His classes are always worth it!)

We started out at the same places I had taken Jim on Thursday so I took the time to try to find some details and perspectives I didn't get to shoot then.

Cort had an assignment for all of us. We took turns all standing in the same spot and had one minute to shoot. We were suppose to pick one shot to share, but I couldn't pick between the two.

Here are some favorites from other stops along Rt. 66.

The Shoe Tree!

My favorite stop on the trip was at the old train! I'd been to it a few years ago on another Rt. 66 trip. I've been wanting to see it again for a while. Cort found it and took us there!! (Thanks again!)

My afternoon class was the one I was most excited about!!! Jim Cayer was here from Cali to teach us about Sports and Action Photography! We got to shoot a lacrosse game. It was something new for all of us. Here's some of my favorite shots.

I had so much fun in my classes....not sure how anything could top it! During dinner they gave out the Chris Monaghan award. Chris was an amazing part of our group and we all miss her so much! The award is created to honor someone in our group that represents everything that Chris was. This year the award went to Debi Allen!! <3 No one deserves this award more than her! Congrats!

After dinner the after party started!

Our theme for the night was "Mafia Night!" I couldn't wait to get all dressed up.

Elvis showed up to perform for us!!!! Security didn't want us on stage with him though! LOL First picture is taken by Amanda Yonut of me getting pulled off stage! Thanks for the shot Amanda!

Being attacked by the paparazzi before leaving the party.

Meet up's are always a great time. I look forward to it every year. I miss you guys already! (Special thanks to Ed & Sandi from Your Pixel Perfect Photography for bringing the photobooth!)

See you Next Year!

Mpix Meet-up Thursday & Friday (Day 1&2)

April 7th-11th I spent in Tulsa with some of the best photographers on the planet.

I got down there around 10 am to meet up with my buddy Jim Cayer before the official meet up started. We went to lunch, and then to go find some cool things to shoot on Rt. 66. Jim came from LA to teach at the meet up. I was pretty excited to meet him!

Here's some of my favorite shots from our adventure.

After our adventure to show Jim part of Rt. 66 I went to pick up my bestie Kelsey at the Airport.... "Hairport."

Thursday Night was opening night at the Mpix Meet-up. We had a center piece contest, speakers even a flash mob!!!

Joe Dellesaga from Miller's/Mpix speaking to us.

Flash Mob!!

It was a great day.

Friday I took classes taught by Wendi Riggin's and Ken Lebleu.

Ken's class focused on how to take an image and make it look amazing in 2-5 minutes or less!!! Wendi taught an amazing class about how to make your business flow together from start to finish!

Friday night before Dinner several photographers were taking headshots.

Kelsey and I colored awesome photos for the photo booth. Sandi and Ed from Your Pixel Perfect shipped their photobooth down from PA for us to enjoy! Thanks so much you! I'll post my photo booth pictures soon!

We had drinks and headed off to sleep for a long Saturday!

The Poison In My Dreams...

Here's a sneak peek at a photo shoot I did with David Green. A few weeks ago, he came from Nashville to visit and create some awesome images with me. He's finishing up a new cd "Poison" and we're super excited to be able to share the art work with everyone! Be sure to check out his music www.davidgreenmusic.com. I'll be sharing more as it gets closer to release date!
